As Director of Social Media, Megan is responsible for the development of our social media channels and marketing.
Megan has always been interested in the communications field. Her love of video and radio production began in high school and continued through college. She graduated from Westfield State University in 2005 with a B.A. in Communications. She started her career in radio as an on-air personality for WBEC-FM with experience in audio production and social networking. She left the radio station to work for a non-profit, The Association of Marian Helpers and a religious order the Marian Fathers. Through her work for the Marian Fathers she developed their social media channels and helped the video production department grow into an integral part of the mission. Megan brings CharitySelect these experiences and her incredible "can do" approach to life.
Megan currently lives in Pittsfield, MA. In her spare time, Megan enjoys following her favorite sports teams, cheese making, cooking and planning her upcoming wedding.
As the lead entrepreneur and founder of the company, Joe is responsible for the development of the CharitySelect platform so as to maximize donations to participating charities and create business opportunities for insurance agencies that embrace the CharitySelect Program.
Prior to joining CharitySelect, Joe was the President and CEO of GoodWorks Insurance, a unique socially responsible insurance agency, and, while at GoodWorks, he originally envisioned the CharitySelect Program. Prior to GoodWorks, Joe was a senior analyst and investment banker at a variety of insurance specialty investment firms including Conning & Company, Northington Partners and Schupp & Grochmal where he became well known for the development of innovative investment ideas and structuring opportunities.
In 1981, Joe graduated from Amherst College with degrees in Mathematics and Economics. He currently lives in Housatonic, Massachusetts with his wife and two children.
Dave has been an analyst of the insurance industry for over 40 years and has been actively involved in the founding of a number of companies including: the Townsend & Schupp Company, Hettrick & Cyr, Ringco Group, MeadowBrook Center, Inc., and Fox-Pitt, Kelton.
Dave also spent 18 years as a general partner of Conning & Co., a NYSE insurance research boutique, and shorter times with the Phoenix Insurance Company and United Technologies, where he worked on the Apollo mission. At Conning & Co., Dave was a consultant, portfolio manager, analyst and salesman and was responsible for marketing its “Information Services” for both the property-casualty and life insurance industries.
Dave has been actively involved in a number of local non-profits in his community and continues to be a strong supporter of philanthropy. Dave holds a B.S. in Business for The University of Hartford, is a former board member of the Barney School of Business and is currently a Regent of the University
As Vice President of Communications, Einstein is in charge of all communications and outreach activities. Einstein can be seen in the CharitySelect logo, and, as is clearly obvious, he is especially pleased to be part of CharitySelect.
Prior to joining CharitySelect, Einstein served as the "Bluebird of Happiness," a position he held forever, in the Town of Happiness, U.S.A., a place which lives in the hearts and minds of all responsible people. Einstein's words are considered absolute truth by many throughout the world and the approach to life that he brings to CharitySelect should help our company soar to new heights.
Einstein currently lives at the CharitySelect headquarters in Canaan, CT with his wife and four children, who can be seen pictured in the Birds of a Feather logo. Despite the extraordinary hours he keeps at CharitySelect, Einstein finds time to enjoy gardening, searching for mealworms and taking bird baths. He is always careful to steer clear of snakes, cats and raccoons.
Chad is Chairman and CEO of GoodWorks Insurance, a unique independent insurance agency with operations in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Offering a broad array of property-casualty, life and health insurance products, GoodWorks strongly connects with the community through its contractual commitment to donate at least 50% of its Operating Profits to local charities.
Chad is also currently the investment manager at Litchfield Capital Management, an investment firm that focuses on financial services and real estate investments. Prior to founding Litchfield Capital, he was a managing Director at specialist investment bank Fox-Pitt, Kelton. While at FPK, he was 7 times named an “All-Star” and “5-Star Analyst” in the insurance, banking and consumer finance sectors.
Chad is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a degree in Business Economics and Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Ray is the Founder and Principal of RPW Solutions, which provides strategic, tactical and situational consulting services to businesses, associations and governmental entities including the assessment and procurement of employee benefits.
Prior to RPW Solutions, Ray was the Head of Long Term Care Products and Services for Aetna Life Insurance Company. Previously, he was CEO of Dreamreacher, Inc., an internet spin-out of Hartford Life Insurance Company; Senior Vice President and Director of Strategic Operations at Hartford Life, Inc.; Senior Vice President and Director of Hartford Life’s Employee Benefits Division; and Head of Managed Care Product Development at Aetna.
Ray is a magna cum laude graduate of the College of Insurance in New York (now part of St. John’s University) with a B.S. in Actuarial Science. He is also a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and holds a Life & Health Producers license in Connecticut.
As Chief Information Officer, Ellyn administers all software and hardware systems and supplies technical support to users. She also acts as webmaster, operations assistant, customer service representative and finance clerk. After joining CharitySelect on a part-time basis in August 2012, CharitySelect quickly recognized Ellyn's value and offered her a full time role.
Ellyn received her undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Elms College in Chicopee, MA in 1994. Her interest in technology and love for her alma mater led her to take a position with the Information Services Department at Elms the day after graduation. During her twelve year tenure at Elms, she held several titles: Helpdesk, User Services Consultant and Interim Director. No matter what the title, her responsibilities always included software and hardware administration and supporting the end user with their use.
Ellyn currently lives in Housatonic, MA with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys walking, time with her family, watching the Patriots and volunteering for local youth sports.
As Vice President of CharitySelect, Chance has a hand in a variety of business activities, most notably finance and marketing. One of his primary obligations is to coordinate the Birds of a Feather podcast effort where he recruits and manages authors to ensure high-quality content.
Chance began his business career as a Summer Intern at CharitySelect in 2012; he was deeply involved in all aspects of the evolution of our unique business model with his efforts particularly focused on website development, social media applications and the creation of operating procedures and reporting processes. Chance quickly outgrew his role as an intern and joined CharitySelect full-time in June 2013.
Chance graduated from Williams College, where he majored in Mathematics and Economics and was a catcher on the baseball team. He currently lives in Ashley Falls, Massachusetts with his pet fish, Felix. Chance maintains his love of baseball, as he plays for the local Winsted Whalers men's team and helps coach the Southern Berkshire American Legion team.
As the Director of Marketing, Jeff is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating corporate strategies that develop awareness, advocacy and adoption of the Charity Select mission. In this role, he is accountable for creating strategic business relationships that generate enthusiasm for the values we all care about among our corporate partners, non-profit clients and philanthropically minded consumers.
Prior to Charity Select, Jeff spent 30 years as a strategic advisor and banker to privately held companies and founder and investor in start-up ventures. As a bank executive he led growth initiatives in delivering strategic advisory services to insurance companies and was the principal advisor to commercial companies on leveraged transactions, troubled debt restructures and mergers and acquisitions. Jeff has founded, invested and sold interests in companies from various industries including environmental services, sports entertainment and management software. He is also an adjunct professor of corporate strategy and finance to graduate MBA students at Elms College.
Jeff graduated from Amherst College in 1984. He earned an MBA degree from the Isenberg School of Business at the UMASS and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute. Jeff lives in South Hadley, MA with his wife and two daughters.
