At the age of four, Alexandra Scott decided to open a lemonade stand near her home in Manchester, Connecticut to raise money for the doctors that had helped treat her cancer. With the support of her family, Alex raised over $2,000 to help other children battling cancer. Within four years, the movement had raised over a million dollars, and after her passing, Alex's family created Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation in her honor to help find cures for the many types of cancers that plague the world.
